Pastor Marc announced our first Dollar Day would be on Februrary 6. On that day we collected an amazing $963.99.
On February 10, Pastor Marc and Pastor Chad, presented the check to the Little Elm Area Food Bank. The Little Elm Area Food Bank sent this letter to the congregation: Dear Pastor Farnell and Congregation, It was absolutely incredible to see almost everyone in the church stand and come forward for your first "dollar offering" on February 6, 2011. I was privileged to be in attendance and sitting the Founder of The Little Elm Area Food Bank, Pearl Gentsch. What an honor it was to be chosen by your church to be the first recipient the community to benefit from this local outreach. The food bank continues to recognize your body of believers for its faithful devotion and compassion to Little Elm area residents in their time of need. You truly bear the fruit of the spirit and we humbly thank you for your donation totaling $963.99. On our first ever Dollar Day we choose to bless the Little Elm Area Food Bank. The Little Elm Area Food Bank is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3), organization, manned by volunteers, whose mission is to provide short-term emergency food supplies to Little Elm area residents needing assistance until their situation improves or other sources of help become available.
